SERI-XCIII

St.Tropez are a four-piece punk band from Amsterdam and wow they’re good. Their latest release is a self-titled album, listen HERE. This song, Order, is my favourite on the album, it combines so many different sounds, flavours, vibes and paces. It’s a really eclectic piece of modern punk. The bass-line is bold and unforgiving, the drums keeps the speed, there are folky guitar plucks at the back of the mix and the vocals are gorgeously distorted (they remind me of Beck’s on the Odelay album) – also wait for guitar solo. Great piece of work.
