This is super dope. Some seriously sonic fluidity here. Chiming bells sweep in and out, vocal samples played in like drums, crinkles and curls of electronic sounds hit your ear all over. Seriously good.

In my opinion this is the best tune around at the moment. On every level this tune accounts for everything. Tribal drums, with big bass EQ’s hit you right in the centre of the ears, these are mixed in together with electro arpeggiating synths and basslines. Then comes the sample, R&B vocals are spun in … More Champion + Four Tet – Disparate
As part of Moxie Presents Vol. 2, Dj and producer Medlar has brought the funk with ‘In Dreams’. Grooving hi-hats, a delicious cowbell, funky bassline and dope vocal samples. This is definitely one for the shindig playlist, expect floors to be filled. Grab it (and the whole tape) on free download HERE.
This is so nice. Noname Gypsy’s words glide across the soulful hip-hop beat perfectly. Her flow is complemented by that smooth soul vocal that SPZRKT brings on everything. Lovely vocal layering in the chorus. It reminds me of that 1990s vibe that all of us are craving so much. Heavy rotation with this one.
This one is something to bounce to. Dope grooving bassline, robotic trap drum flicks and a sick funk guitar. This is that post-modern R&B that I love. Nice work here.
He’s at it again. Fucking it up. Again. Low tones of bassy wobbles, high pitched vocals spraying methodically all over the place, big claps and then at the 1.30 min mark a dope garage switch up. This sounds like an ESX-1 sampler having sex with a PC. Dope shit once again from Sam G. Tune … More Sam Gellaitry – payme
Zircon Caves is yet another example of how Sam Gellaitry is some sort of wizard. He layers samples on samples, synths on synths with grooving hip-hop/trap beats that get us mere mortals bobbing along. This track is like a musical shoutout to analog gamers of the 90s and early noughties. Buy Sam’s latest EP ‘Escapism’ … More Sam Gellaitry – Zircon Caves
nonkeen are a producer trio from Berlin. ‘chasing god through palmyra’ is their latest release on R&S Records from their forthcoming album ‘the gamble’, and what a track it is. It is a beautiful slow build, starting with a reverbed shaker, echoey synths and grumbling bass notes. As the track continues, layers of higher key … More nonkeen – chasing god through palmyra
I’m a big fan of Jex Opolis; a personal favourite of mine and guaranteed floor filler is ‘Please Be Bad To Me‘ which harks back to proper disco music, which (from what I can hear) takes some inspiration from Oliver Cheatham’s ‘Saturday Night‘ with Stevie Wonder-esc chord progressions. BIG! This Boiler Room Debuts, ‘Circle of … More Jex Opolis – Circle of Drums
