The amount of soulful music coming out of Australia right now is amazing. Golden Vessel is a producer/collaborator from Brisbane and on Wave he teamed up with fellow Aussies, OKBADLANDS, an alt-pop singing duo. The instrumentation is moody and calm builds with soft electronic swirls. The drum beat grooving and chilled. The vocals are really nice – soft melodies that mould into the beat really well. This is like new-wave trip-hop. Good stuff here.
