We are all waiting on tenterhooks for Frank Ocean’s next work. Channel Orange left us immediately wanting more and the only thing that’s been keeping me going are covers like this. I saw Samm Henshaw at Hoxton Bar & Grill nearly a year ago now, and he blew the roof off. He has one of the best natural voices, and just plain cool in his performance that I’ve seen in ages. This live cover of the now R&B classic Pink Matter hits the spot perfectly; the soulful tone of Samm voice amidst that live electric guitar works so well – P.S. wait for the Drake shoutout.
